    Lucas ends Thurman's career.

    Viva la Machina.

Good fight. I give a slight edge to Thurman but could easily be wrong

Now that's what I'm talking about....put Mayweather Sr vs Ruben Guerrero on the undercard as well and I'm sold.

WTF... what a **** fight. If they go thru with this I'm not watching.

That's because I like both guys.

Wow, that would be one hell of a war. I'll have to give the edge to Matthysse because I don't know if Thurman will be able to take Matthysse's bombs without any problems. Either way, it can go to either guy depending on who has the better night. Thurman is on a winning streak while Matthysse is coming off a loss to Danny Garcia. I bet the fight will be much more exciting than the Mayweather fight.

Very surprised. I'm a big fan of both fighters, so that one would be a bit bittersweet no matter who comes out on top. I'd hate to see Matthysse go from monster to being beaten twice in a row. He deserves a less risky fight at the moment, IMO. That said, Lucas is a hell of a lot more dangerous than Soto Karass, and he could prove to be too much at the moment for Thurman.

I feel the same. I would hate it more if Lucas lost again but would also not like to see Thurman lose especially with the momentum he's building. Would be one hell of a fight though. I would want Lucas to win more cuz I've been a fan of his longer but either way I'm gonna be a sad-happy fan if this fight happens.

THIS is how you sell a PPV card! It would be bombs away for however long it lasts. Both guys might get hurt and dropped. Thurman's chin would get tested big time.

                    Thurman will beat him
Lucas should take a lesser opponent to try out at WW
he might not get stopped, but he'll get overpowered by Thurman
Thurman is building a puncher's rep, but like Lucas, he can box some
likely one of those fights where the bigger guy will just be too much

This would be an interesting fight. I'm curious how Matthysse would handle Thurman's movement. But Matthysse showed against Peterson that he knows how to get inside on a mobile boxer. Given that Thurman appeared at least a little stunned against both Chaves and Soto-Karass, his chin is probably vulnerable to a puncher like Matthysse. It really comes down to who can land their big shots. Matthysse strikes me as a bigger puncher than Thurman, so I'd give the power edge to Matthysse. If this fight happens, the question is: Can Matthysse work his way inside on Thurman or will Thurman outbox Matthysse from the outside?
