Shimoda was on his way to a shutout against Rico Ramos before Ramos scored that flukish comeback KO.
I'm not sold on Sonsona at all yet, but Shimoda is a very good win and a good start for him.Comment

S'Okay - just trying to keep my little boy entertained at the same time.
Yeah, again a cagey, slow start from Sonsona for sure...likes to figure out what's in front of him...he did fire off some decent counters, but he really didn't like being closed down. That said he was very young and looks to be a bit stronger now
From what I saw on Saturday I don't think anything goes much differently ...Sonsona moves pretty well but ain't good enough to keep out of trouble when WV decides to walk him down. I think WV just piles on the pressure and in the end traps him in the corner or on the ropes again. Against Shimoda Marvellous Marvin had the time and space to pick his shots - against WV he won't and I see him taken right off his game again by Vazquez' come forward offense.
I suspect he might tag WV and even shake him now he's grown into his body a bit more, and probably the fight goes a few more rounds...but I'd still guess Jr wins.Comment
