Fighters do what they can to get motivated sometimes. Others they are just selling the fight. Since there is little to no storyline for this fight, promoters may want to amp it up with fake claims of disrespect.

It doesn't need that though as this is a really interesting fight.

Cotto is a good dude. I have massive respect for the guy.

I like Cotto too, but think, he'll be in tough, with Serg!!!

1. Its what I figured, cotto doesnt seem like the kind of guy to do that unless he really really hates somebody, I'm talking margarito type hate.

2. As much as I like Martinez, he does seem butthurt and jelly over the fame and fortune cotto has. I think thats the heart of this issue, with said disrespect just being a way for martinez to psyche up and motivate himself to beat cotto.

see my picture..... Cotto is a gentleman, quiet but a gentleman. my Ex ran him down in Cancun airport he stopped and took time to shake my hand and take two pics. Martinez is a *****. Not saying Cotto will win this fight but Im pulling for him once again the dude has the biggest nuts of any fighter out there. He fights anyone, whenever.

I've said this before. Cotto dont know what Martinez is talking about. Cotto might had ignore him once, because he is no wary about his sorroundings. He is not looking around, he dont like the attention so that is how he ignores it. He ignores everything around him. That change when he is drunk.


I can imagine Cotto during the Face Off saying that he dont recall any of that and extending his hand. But Martinez will look for an excuse to trash talk after the face off.
