It doesn't need that though as this is a really interesting fight.

My thoughts exactly. This fight doesn´t have much of a storyline so they have to do something to sell the fight. Specially Martinez who needs a big payday before retiring.

People shouldn´t believe everything they read.

Cotto is going to get beat down. Roach is going to stop it.

If Cotto made Martinez come in first for their fight then I believe Sergio. Besides Martinez said that years ago so it is not like he is trying to hype the fight. He said it before they had a date to fight.

That was just the perfect shot. Hes hasnt done anything like that since, while facing lesser opponents. Cotto's skill set is superior to Williams. Martinez has never faced a fighter as good as Cotto. Cotto's size will serve him well in this fight. Lets put something on this

Cotto's size will make it very difficult for Cotto to hurt Martinez and take Martinez's punches. A middleweight version of Cotto almost certainly is not the best fighter Martinez has fought. Guys like Williams and Pavlik are probably far more effective at middleweight than Cotto.

Neither Williams or Pavlik come close to matching Cotto in speed and boxing ability.

People are going to be surprised when Cotto simply outboxes Martinez to a UD, but they shouldn't be. Cotto is by far the more technical boxer.

Martinez has an unorthodox southpaw style that looks good against slow plodders like Williams, Pavlik, and Chavez Jr.

He's going to look sloppy as hell against a faster more technically skilled Cotto. Especially coming off a knee surgery and long absence.

Cotto was outboxed by Austin Trout. The specific tools Trout used are ones Martinez is very proficient in. Trout used movement, a straight left to the body, and smothering Cotto on the inside to beat Cotto. The difference is that Martinez hits much harder than Trout and is also faster. I'm sure Martinez will study the Trout fight. And it doesn't sound like Roach wants Cotto to box Martinez. It sounds like he wants him to exchange with him. I don't think you are giving Martinez enough credit for his boxing skills. Martinez is a highly skilled boxer. He outboxed a highly skilled technical fighter in Dzinziruk. He knows how to fight inside and is very good at dealing with pressure. From the outside, Martinez can keep the jab in Cotto's face all night long.
