He might actually do that when they fight. OR, his elusive ways are so ingrained in him that he'll play cat and mouse like always. Either way, Martinez is going to hurt Cotto, badly.

He did show an aggressive side against Chavez. Not so much against Murray. What Martinez needs to do differently from the Murray fight is be more aggressive, move forward, and throw combinations. Against Murray, he ran too much and relied on potshots rather than combinations.

I guess maybe you're one of few who give Cotto a chance in this one. Kinda doubt even Cotto 5 years ago would give Martinez 2014 any serious problems. This will be a slow beating for Miguel.

C'mon it´s normal Sergio doesn´t want to fight Golovkin, he is old and with a bad knee. He doesn´t have many fights left, maybe this is his last one.

Cotto brings more money on the table and is a much easier opponent. What would you do if you were in Martinez's shoes? He deserves a big payday.

Nah, don' t believe that. He is just selling the fight, he is doing his job. I am sure that before June Cotto is gonna badmouth Sergio too, just business.

Martinez is the middleweight champion. So after the Cotto fight, he should face his number one contender. It's what's good for boxing.

No that makes two of us and they said the same thing when it was Garcia vs. Lucas Matthysse. I give Cotto a good shot at this fight and at the end of the night its us the fans who will ultimately win.

Yeah, that's true. I think he will be aggressive against Cotto. It would be so epic if he went in there, walked him down. trapped in him the corner, and just finished him off in the 3rd or 4th round.

I'd jump up like a little schoolgirl.

Another thing. The bad blood might have him chasing a KO.

Martinez is a cunt for taking this fight
Cotto's shot and not a real JMW, let alone a MW
he's not proving or avenging a damn thing with this crap fight
GGG or a Murray rematch better happen next
hell, even Quillin or Sturm would be ok, the Cotto fight sucks

I suppose the question is: Does Martinez even need his mobility to beat Cotto? Cotto may go into boxer mode. Which would mean he'd be trying to outbox a fighter with six inches of reach and three inches of height on him.
