mattysse doesn't want it again yet it's garcia who's avoiding the fight....makes perfect sense. he was losing until he poked matthysse in the eye. you think he's going to poke matthysse in the eye again and render him half blind again? he knocked him down after rabbit punching him in the back of the head so he flew in between the ropes with his arms trapped. you think that's going to happen again or that the ref will let that happen again? those are some pretty specific variables that you are relying on.

with a ref that doesn't allow low blows or knock downs against fighters that were just fouled mathysse would have won anyway. garcia had 3 good rounds when matthysse could barely see and even then matthysse came back strong in rounds 10-12. garcia could barely beat a one eyed guy when he was allowed to foul all fight. if garcia knew what a one eyed mattysse was about how come he faded in the last 3 rounds? why not fight him again since he now he knows what he's about? oh wait he's fighting herrera to build his brand lol.

Dunno about that. It wasn't looking all too good for Garcia in terms of him winning that fight until he messed up that eye. He was taking Matthysse's punches fairly well but he got his mouth pieces smacked out and trapped on the ropes a few times and it looked like Matthysse was building up the momentum, then the punch or whatever that was, landed and he started to look like Angulo.

Even after the punch, he still started to mount a comeback late in the fight but it was too late. I seriously don't think Garcia wants it again to be honest. I mean he doesn't want a Floyd match either from the sounds of it....that makes absolutely no sense at all imo. He has definitely earned his shot at a Mayweather fight and even was on the undercard of a Floyd PPV.
