Accurate Amateur records are notoriously hard to get a hold of so I'm not sure how true Lomachenko's record of only 1 defeat in almost 400 bouts really is but I will say this, as an amateur, he is one of the best I have ever seen.

Other great amateurs are De La Hoya, his run in the unpaid ranks is so over looked, Ray Leonard, Whitaker and the two who I truly wished turned professional, Stevenson and Savon. They could have been pro heavyweight greats!

FWIW Savon lost to Chagaev in the final of the 1997 AIBA World Championships. (Chagaev was later disqualified because he had two pro fights before the tournament.) Savon enthusiasts dispute the decision, but Savon didn't outclass Chagaev in that fight by any measure. And Chagaev didn't really become a pro HW great...

He won Gold at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in 2003. He won silver the following year in the Olympics. The posted list doesn't seem to distiguish the two.

Alongside the Olympic boxing programme, World Amateur Boxing Championships is the highest level of competition for the sport.

In that 2003 World Boxing Championship, GGG beat Matvey Korobov, Andy Lee, Lucian Bute, Yordanis Despaigne and Oleg Mashkin.

True, the number seems very inflated. He went pro at 18 and 320 fights by then doesnt seem real, especially for a guy without a real notable amateur career and a year long jail stint

If he had that many fights, it would mean he had a fight every single week since he was 11 years old.
