Matchroom hold a monopoly over here, they have every date on Sky and are like a middle man. They'll sell other promoters TV spots if they have a good relationship and Matchroom have no need for it.

It's a piss take, they should encourage promoters to battle it out, creating cards to capture the attention of Sky. That's why they get away with subpar bull****, Sky can't really go elsewhere.

Warren, now #2 UK promoter, has invested in his own boxing channel where the rest of the British promoters seek refuge. Hatton's focusing more on the training side of things and as a result, neglected his stable. He's training some good talent and honestly, I'd rather see him take this route then promotion.

Promoters are dime a dozen, what the UK scene really needs is some top trainers.
