You can't knock the guy for wanting to cash out, he's saving himself for the winner of May/Pac and Brook is a high risk low reward fight. At least with Algieri he has the advantage of knowing how successful his former sparring partner Pacquiao was against him.

If it don't make dollars then it don't make cents.

There is literally no fight besides Mayweather or Pacquiao that has more reward for Khan than a Brook fight. A big payday, a big crowd, a world title, and a great chance at landing the Mayweather/Pacquiao winner all come from beating Brook.

He'll make more from a Brook fight than he would from fighting both May and Pac.

Khan would make far more money fighting Kell Brook in England than he would fighting Floyd in Vegas. I've heard Eddie Hearn has offered Khan as much as 8 million to fight Brook in Wembley but Khan won't do it. Instead Khan chose to fight Chris Algieri, a light puncher with no belt. This is simply a cherry picked stay busy fight.

Khan sees Floyd as a low risk high reward type of fight and sees Brook as a high risk low reward type fight.
