Very interesting fight....tough call....probably the best fight that can be made at 140 and it's a very relevant fight....those fights are normally 50-50....thats how I feel about this fight....I slightly and I mean slightly favor Lucas....have Swift fight Lamont the same night in a different venue and let the winners link up for ultimate supremacy....that would be mad cool!!

Given their fighting styles, Ruslan can put on a show and force a stoppage. Matthysse is known for his power but looked weak against Garcia punch for punch, never phasing Garcia. Ruslan does not have near the skills of Garcia, but he is relentless with his power punches and Matthysse is not defensively sound. Ruslan by stoppage

Matthysse deals with him fairly easily.

Find it hard to believe that a guy who nearly decapitated Tim Bradley would get dealt with "fairly easily" by anybody.

That's one hell of a fight and too close for me to pick a winner. They are two of my favorites and they really come to fight. Neither man has a reverse gear.

Lucas' body attack could be crucial in this too
he doesn't get much credit for having some polish w/ his power

I would love to see this one !!! Normally I'd pay close attention to where the fight is being held... Who's got the crowd and judges (Looks up to the sky and winces.)

But this one should NOT go the distance !!! Lucas has better overall skills and the experience factor points more to him than Ruslan.... He also has good power....
But Ruslan was being hit all night long by Bradley's best and was never hurt... (Should have won that one with a better gas tank.) Ruslan has a little better power, great chin and more aggression.... Not to mention, tremendous confidence right now.... Lucas might be doubting himself a little bit for the first time in his career...

Danny Garcia took Lucas's power quite well.... While Bradley said Ruslan gave him a concussion... I'll go with Ruslan provided he has the wind (Sadly, not a given) to pressure Lucas throughout.... If the wind is not there than neither is the victory, I'd go with Lucas in that case.
