Khan-Maidana II: Who do you got?

maidana crumples him. i personally think khan is just about finished, sadly.

There is no way Khan makes it out of the rematch without getting knocked out cold. Maidana has become a better fighter whereas Khan has done the complete opposite.

Exactly...

Khan has deteriorated as a fighter while Maidana has improved stunningly well.

and they were about evenly matched before. Khan sliding down since then while chino climbing up= they wont be so evenly matched in a rematch.

The fighters have gone in completely different directions since that fight. Khan has pretty much bottomed out and is a shell of his old self. Maidana on the other hand is at or very close to his peak and is a much improved fighter since joining Garcia's gym.

Maidana dominates Khan and finishes it within 5.

I completely agree. The worse thing about Khan now is that he is going thru an identity crisis. A real crisis. Not only does he have a chin to worry about but he is going thru a developmental phase that is pretty weird.

Hunter has tried to make him into a technical / patient boxer and has taken away from his best assets which were speed and awkwardness. His punches are predictable now and he just looks mediocre trying to box... IMO he should have stayed with Roach and worked on turning all of that energy into organized chaos where he still kept that Pacquiao-esque style of throwing punches but also working on keeping his chin tucked in and picking his flurries more wisely.

Garcia has done the opposite with Maidana, he didn't try to change his style, he just maximized his strengths and polished them. You look at Maidana and you see the same old style that got him the spotlight but fine tuned. It has been properly developed into a finer product.

you're exactly right. it's sad for me to say since i think khan is still in his 20's. but his confidence is shattered and i'm not sure it's coming back. he's had two "comeback" fights and he probably needs another one. that's not a good sign.

Maidana will murder Khan, Khan lost whatever resilience he had. He always got rocked if was clipped hard by a hard puncher but now anyone with a semi hard punch is rocking him. Maidana is probably one of the hardest puncher pound for pound.

khan's only looked worse since he split with roach. maidana by vicious k.o. if they ever had a rematch.
