I get that Martinez has most of the advantages but he's never fought anyone as skilled as Cotto. Makes this a 50:50 fight IMO.

Hope Martinez wins so Cotto can just retire already. If he loses I think he's done since he definitely won't be able to dictate terms anymore if he lost 3 out of his last 4 fights. Someone like Floyd or Pacquiao can do that because their the top fighters in boxing while Cotto might not even be in the top 30 P4P at the moment.

Ok I have a serious question. What has Martinez done in his career that makes him so great. I'm not trying to be funny I just need to see what you guys are seeing. Me, I see a guy who's career highlight is knocking out Paul Williams. It took him two fights by the way. Also this guy is gonna destroy Cotto but he could not knock out Kermit Cintron? Hell he could not even get the ud. He looked liked **** recently and is almost 40. His resume is not great either. So you guys who are saying Cotto is gonna get knocked out by this guy need to come out of 2010. This ain't the same Sergio.

This is a huge mismatch. I like Cotto so I'm not really looking forward to this.

Cotto was easily out boxed by Austin Trout at 154 who isn't nearly as skilled, as fast or as powerful as Sergio. This will not end well for Cotto. Much respect for Cotto for continually fighting the best though.

pretty much it will be interesting the first few rounds but the difference in ability will be pretty clear.

If cotto is smart he will put the pedal to the metal from the opening bell and overwhelm Martinez, Martinez like fighting at a slow pace and can be out worked and hurt, plus Chavez ruined and beat any semblance of the old Martinez out of him, he just a shell now.

Cotto's got some big ass balls agreeing to fight Maravilla. Even at 50%, Sergio would be formidable for any smaller man. He kinda signed a death wish in my eyes
