The worst part of fame is when it's gone. No one will remember them as they wither into old age, & obscurity. Life will be cruel the less humble.
As of Fitz, and his Mt.Rushmore of boxing, he had me until he mentioned RJJ.
The org.Floyd Mayweather. self absorbed, proclaimed greatest fighter on the planet. We are talking about someone who also ducked great fighters like Gerald McCleallan, & a primed Mike Mcallum. & refused to give B-Hop a fight once he became his equal until they were both well past the prime time mode of boxers.
Yep time is cruel. Now he's a gate keeper for Euro trash Cruisers, & lt.heavies.
Floyd, please read this comment, you will be just like him. Someone will knock you off your perch. Again like Jones, a rival stalked him, and made him pay.
You falsely retired when PWill was knocking on the door. Now you have Lara, and someone who's really watching, and laying in the weeds like Thurman, & a aggressive under rated fighter like Porter, waiting.
But, you might be smarter than Jones, and stick to your promise and retire with your deal. You will continue to fight guys like Miadanna, slow easy to hit straight ahead, telegraph plodders that make you look so, so good.
hahaha this is so sad. You must hate your life

He was talking about the last 35 years or so. Marvin I could see on there during that time.

RJJ was amazing in his prime. Couldn't be touched, was extremely fast AND powerful, and clowned multiple weight classes before electing to hang around too long.
