I can see kovalev vs stevenson being trilogy
Actually, he has a style that Ward would dominate against. He's not going to outbox Andre Ward at all.

Ward uses distance and circles to his left to maintain out of reach of the straight left. Counters off the left because he'll make Stevenson reach because Stevenson would be forced to swing wide/longer distance with the left hand to reach Ward.

Ward parrys/ducks under the left, smothers Stevenson and does a bit of inside work, then resets and does it all night.

stevenson would beat him easy. ward has the same problem floyd has. southpaws with good straight lefts get through his defense. ward already turned down a stevenson fight and a bute fight. see the pattern? good left hands. keep cherry picking those styles!

what people don't get about ward is unlike say floyd or pac he is not really made for moving up in weight. he relies a lot on his strength and out-muscling guys, roughing them up on the inside etc. He can do that to guys at 168 and would do it to any normal 160 guy coming up and can do it to weight drained guys from 175 coming down. But going up to 175 and fighting naturally bigger guys who have not been drained, especially power guys like kovalev and stevenson who he won't be able to outmuscle and rough up in close does not appeal to him. hence his insistence on staying at 168 even though he has nobody left there to fight.

that's a pretty good analysis of why he can't move up effectively. also being a giant bum doesn't help his case.

So people think that even though a journeyman like Tony Bellew was able to outbox Stevenson at times, one of the best boxers on the planet won't be able tot do the same? Interesting

when did this happen? stevenson won every round and ko'd bellew. bellew and ward fight nothing alike anyway so its pretty pointless. ward likes to jump forward to cut the distance and smother his opponents. stevenson will be waiting with that deadly left hand counter. there's a reason ward turned down the fight. it has nothing to do with money, popularity, or any other jibberish. deadly left hand=ward run away

It'll be hard for anyone to get passed Ward's constant and blatant illegal tactics, most of which the refs don't care about. Excessive holding and headbutting is a tough task to defeat.

GGG's a great fighter man..come on guys. You point out that he's unproven but he's still a great fighter? This shit is frustrating.

He passes my eye test for what it's worth. I can't envision any middleweight really hurting him. Do you think any of the other middles beat him?
