One game in the early 90's Michael Jordan was sick, didn't play well and was outscored by Tim Legler.

    Michael Jordan = Legler's leftovers

      Pound for pound

Pound for pound- this term gets used so often it takes away the prestige of being being the champ in your weight class. Ex. He's good at 154 but he's not top 10 pound for pound.

The only one I really don't like is coward.

The others are descriptive although overused and/or misused often.

LOL - I just had an odd thought.

I wonder if pro-boxers ever get together (at the Gym or at social events, whatever) - and discuss what a bunch of BUMS, QUITTERS and COWARDS their fans are..

          Like:

Floyd - these morons worship me whatever I do, even the Mutha****as with no money throw dey money at me, buncha bums!

Pac - My guys, y'know so many of them, I get KTFO and they run like cowardly little **** - they call themselves fans but they just a bunch of quitters.

Both shake their heads sadly and turn to happier matters...

Coward. It doesn't describe any boxer.

None. I am an amateur fighter, and they say never question a mans courage until you've been in the ring. Well i've been in the ring plenty, and I can call any one of them out on a number of things any day. Sorry.

"Bum" gets on my God Damn nerves so bad.

I see good fighters get called bums all the time on here.

A bum is a guy with a losing record.

I don't understand how you can bash a fighter and call him a bum or coward and not get banned.

                    bum

I don't think anyone should use this word except for the actual fighters themselves

Quitter. Most dudes on here can't take a minimum weight fighter's jab let alone get hit sparring for 10 weeks+ in camp coupled with a trained professional in front of you trying knock your block off for up to 12 rounds. It's become cringe worthy to see people use that phrase here on NSB because it holds no water anymore. Not with dudes dying and going into comas for not knowing when to take a knee or corners not wanting to throw in a towel and save their fighter's career let alone their life.
