but it would definitely still be a cherrypick, because why would he be fighting porter, when pacquiao is available?(considering he wins against bradley and the like)

kay? understand? cool? im out, see you in another thread

p.s remembered the cherrypick that i was considering to be risky vs floyd, it was the guerrero fight, embarrassing i kno
I see what you're trying to say, but what you're trying to say, doesn't make sense

    Going in circles now though.

If you see somebody you dislike going to pick a cherry, you can hope that by some fluke the tree falls on their head.

I can think that Mayweather will win on points, but I can hope that Chino will catch him early with something hard, awkward, and overhead early when Mayweather is cold, and some combination of clowning, posing, or accidentally going straight back. Or that an aging Mayweather will slow enough to let some of Chino's awkward power shots though. That's the one virtue of power (and to a lesser extent being awkward because I don't think anything too conventional is likely to serve anybody well vs Mayweather).

      • This is Gatti - Mayweather all over again. I expect Mayweather to be able to land plenty of counter shots though out the early rounds. Once Maidana tires after probably the 6th or 7th I expect Mayweather to be able to hit him at will. If Maidana still applies constant pressure even when his stamina wanes then I think Mayweather will be using his own momentum against him with his lead right. Even though I believe Maidana has a little less then a punchers chance to take out Mayweather and will realistically lose a TKO, I'm glad this fight is taking place over Khan. Yea Khan has a much better chance of winning and creates a different kind of challenge for Mayweather but with Maidana, Mayweather will be much more aggressive then guys like Canelo, Mosley, and Oscar. I know I'm rambling but last thing is I hope I see a more relentless and conditioned boxer out of Maidana so I can be proved wrong on his predicted performance.

        • Mayweather by decision, but Maidana has a puncher's chance.

          • The Fight Will go the distance But Floyd Will Make it Look Easy
Just Like Any other Fight ! I Give El Chino A Punchers Chance tho ! But Many Have Tried And All Have Failed

            • I don't think Mayweather will win as comfortably as Alexander did when he faced Maidana.

But expected a similar type of fight.

No point watching a repeat of that fight, it wasn't that good first time round.

              • So as of now who are fighters that have a 50/50 fight with Floyd not named Manny Pacquiao? Pick em from 140-154

Right now I would say Lara has the best chance

Then maybe porter, Bradley, Thurman, but they don't have a 50/50 chance but the next best choices to beat Floyd after Lara

                    Lets put this bluntly

who has mayweather fought lately with Maidana's intangibles? He is a seasoned pro and the man's will has literally never been broken in the ring. Canelo..green. cotto.. been stopped.. guerrerro, quit before, Ortiz blaah.. mosley Forrest...Marquez..

I guess its Marquez. But Marquez was new to that weight and isnt comfortable pressuring.

Maidana is a unique blend of power, pressure, and amazing intangibles. Yall can count him out but I will not do so until the final bell rings.

It's silly to me to count Maidana out.

I keep seeing "This is a style that Mayweather always fights" how? When's the last time Mayweather fought a genuine come forward, aggressive fighter who will bring it for 12 rounds with power in both hands?

Need to bare in mind that Mayweather is 37 aswell, he's no spring chicken.
