I hope this turns out to be false. People say Manny isn't exactly a business smart man, but even if this is true even he must realise that staying with Top Rank till he retires is a bad move. Who is he gonna fight with TR? Just a bunch of rematches and Provodnikov? I doubt thats how he wants to cap off his career.

Leaving Top Rank at the end of his contract and fighting a couple/a few fighters outside of the stable (Floyd obviously, Garcia etc...) then retiring would have been great, so hopefully this is something that turns out to be false/misenterpreted.
