Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1KO) dropped another sparring partner as he works hard in training camp for his upcoming fight with WBO featherweight king Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28KOs) on March 1 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to making his pro debut last October on the Bradley-Marquez undercard, Lomachenko dropped one of his sparring partners on their back in camp. Lomachenko went on to stop season pro Jose Ramirez in four rounds.

He wont be wearing head gear vs Salido

If Salido beats him what can you possibly say besides "oh beat up an amateur"

1 pro fight with no headgear & no fights beyond 4 rounds & he gets a title shot? i'm still not convinced he is the real deal. I might put some money down if salido is the underdog...

His first fite was for a WBO International title which gets you automatic Top 10 in WBO rankings thus this counts as voluntary defense. So in a way this does make sense. Ofcourse the question is that too much too soon?

I think it would have made more sense to fight a few more fights against quality opponents before taking on Salido. But you can't deny his amateur record and he did beat Ramirez convincingly in his first fight.

                Lol

I remember Canelo made like 3 sparring partners quit. Then he did nothing against Mayweather. Then again Marquez Knocked down a sparring partner almost the same way he KO'D pacman.

                  I think

I think he will beat Salido, because after the second Juanma fight he was not the same fighter. I think his chin got weaker, I remember he got dropped like 3 times against some unknown guy. Then again with Mikey.

Watch the kid go on and do some Henry Armstrong ordeal.. Featherweight title -> Lightweight title -> Welterweight title.

                    Would be amazing lol.
