But im sure Froch didn't want the fight with Groves, hed prefer a rematch with Ward or GGG or whoever rather going over old ground with someone he beat.
But the controvery and to shut up Groves, he does want it.
Something about Eubank just winds Benn up, Nigel's just old enough now to let it slide. It's the same with Froch and Groves, I don't think Groves has any real issue with Froch but Carl gets really wound up by him.

I think Froch does want to be in this fight. I think he wants to shut Groves up, so to speak.

His team had aready offered Groves a rematch before the IBF made their decision. He's a prideful guy Froch..IMO a rematch was always a goer once people questioned the stoppage in the 1st fight.

You're right about them becoming best of friends in the end, a buddy of mine Greg 'The Mutt" Haugen fought Vinny "Pazmanian Devil" Pazienza 3 times they were mortal enemies but later became friends(Paz even being in Greg's corner for several fights) To this day though Vinnie will quip that Greg is still a punk I don't think he means it. There has to be alot of respect between two men that battle like that in 40 rds(Two 15 rd, and one 10 rd). Look at Rafael Marquez vs Israel Vazquez same thing with those two. Warrior friends for life, Gatti vs Ward, Morales vs Barrera, Duran vs Leonard and the list goes on.

he does actually, though not a very long one...he's avoided a rematch with ward under the excuse that ward is a boring fighter...

I think Froch's greater strength and stamina will get to Groves again. But if it goes the distance, they could be very close on points by the end.
yeah...and groves didn't have anyone to train him

it's funny how people forget how unbelievably rude froch was in the post fight interviews just because he reluctantly accepted this rematch in the end...it took months...if froch wanted to redeem himself he wouldn't have low balled groves initially and he wouldn't have openly stated he has no interest in groves

his own fans were booing him, if that's any indication to this argument

Nonsense. He has made it clear he wants Ward in England. Ward doesn't want to fight, even though he likely wins.

Say what you want about Froch, but he will fight anyone and that includes avenging his defeats.

A last ditched attempt when they realized Groves was going to be given the rematch! A total PR stunt, which Groves turned down because of the shėtty conditions.
