Lara would win this easy just like he did vs Molina, Vanes and Angulo.

Canelo would be easier but I think he ends up on his back like a true Mexican warrior unlike el perrito which simply quit.

Lara fights to the level of his opposition. Against Williams and Trout he fought very well. Against Molina, Angulo, etc. he fought only moderately well. He would get the job done against Canelo, but I wouldn't be suprised if he dug himself a hole to get out of. He usually does.

This is why I feel people are seriously overrating Lara. Yes he beat Paul Williams and got a bad decision, and yes he impressively beat Austin Trout, but let us not forget he struggled against Molina, didn't impress in a draw against Vanes, and struggled to beat Angulo.
The guy is a good boxer but people act like he is not without flaws. If he fights Canelo it won't be a walk in the part like most people here are saying.

I like the combos :3 I never thought Lopez was a legit threat to Canelo, but hey...Ortiz had to go and get his jaw broken like an idiot, boxing with his mouth hanging open and ****.

If Lara beats Canelo, full credit to him. I'm not sold on the guy though and I feel Canelo wins that fight

                Agree with both of you.

To put it plainly, Lara is a disappointing. All of the potential and skills to be great but something's missing.

Lara struggles with pressure fighters. That's why he had problems with Angulo and Molina. It's hard for him to look great in those fights because he's uncomfortable. His glaring flaw is the lack of an inside game. Besides that Lara is superb.

I think he beats Canelo as well but Canelo would be best served trying to pressure him. If Canelo tries to outbox Lara like he tried to outbox Floyd, it will be a long night for Alvarez.

I have a feeling Angulo will ko Canelo if a 140 pound Cotto"s brother hurt Canelo what do you think Angulo will do ?

molina was only a close fight because molina constantly smothered and grabbed and even then he landed nothing clean. canelo doesn't fight like molina at all. vanes was an easy win, and angulo is one of the best pressure fighters in boxing with big power, canelo doesn't fight like angulo at all. canelo actually fights the closest to guys like vanes and trout who lara beat easily. they all like to fight at at their own pace and when things don't go their way they can't do anything to change it.
