Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Will Be Gunning For a Knockout Against Abell

London - Tyson Fury is hoping a nightmare week can’t get any worse as he returns to action this weekend live on BoxNation.

The rising Manchester star has endured a terrible last seven days with his wife being rushed into hospital for an emergency operation, two of his cars being set ablaze at his house and being cut in sparring ahead of what will be his first return to the ring in ten months.

The former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion takes on the hard-hitting Joey Abell in what is sure to be an all-action affair between two exciting and come-forward fighters this Saturday night at the Copper Box Arena.

Whoever lands the first bomb wins. Unless of course Fury punches himself in the face again and knocks himself out silly.

Fury should take care of Abell ok but his huge weight worries me. Peter Fury says he lost 40lbs in training, so he must have been in terrible shape before.
Fighters who don't take care of themselves properly in between camps - eg, Hatton and Chavez jr, end up paying for it with below par performances.
Ricky is a friend of Tyson's, I believe. He needs to have a word in his ear about that.

        Absolutely agree.

I hope Fury isn't looking beyond this fight; Abell looks in half-decent shape and stocks power.

to be fair the guy had 2 training camps stopped because of haye pulling out, so he went on a vacation over the xmas holidays with family & friends so i'm assuming the beer & food was flowing & he didn't have a fight lined up at the time. a guy his size could put on weight pretty quickly. he was training for 10 months for haye. so he had a great holiday & it's back to business. fury should have little trouble with abell. yes there is that chance abell catches him but we will see. fury does a good job making adjustments. we will see what happens...

            Massive weight for Tyson there.

Seems like he has had a stinker of a week too. This should be a classic while it lasts. Abell should understand he has an opportunity.
