Rounds 1-3: Floyd doesn't throw too much, focused on analyzing Maidana's approach and settling for right hands and jabs both up and downstairs.

Rounds 4-9: Floyd begins throwing more and putting Maidana in danger, Maidana hits a lull as he tries to figure something else out.

Rounds 10-12: Floyd backs off as Maidana goes a little crazier. Maybe Maidana sneaks a round here, maybe, but it will be clear Floyd could have ended it if he pressed the gas.

1-4: floyd easily controls maidana with his jab and movement but doesn't throw much
5-8: floyd opens up a little more and hurts a frustrated maidana multiple times, but scores no knock downs
9-12: floyd gives up on the knock out and coasts to a points victory

at the end the judges generously give maidana a couple rounds even though in reality he didn't deserve any.
