Mares seems to be less afraid of the big Jap than of his former trainer's (i.e. Nacho) new pupil (i.e. Gonzalez) -- who caught him cold in the first, as we all know.

Yeap you just hit the nail right on the head.....Nacho said before the fight with Johnny that he knew Mare's weakneses as well as his tendencies and mistakes and that he was going to capitalize on that and take him out by the 7 round, mean while Mares was saying he had inprobed more and learn from Clemente Medina and other couches.....but IMPO Beristain is a step or two ahead of this guys, Mares does not trows the conbinations he used to trow under the tutelage of Don Nacho, he became more of a brawler-pressure fighter easier to hit kind of guy.
