Can't they meet somewhere in the middle. Rios can no longer make 140 without looking like Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. He has never looked healthy at JWW weigh ins.

Rios is a fatass, WW isn't really a stretch
problem is he's not gonna be any good at that weight
and Ruslan has a JWW belt, so why not do it at JWW?
Rios got pasted in his last fight, so he better work on Ruslan's terms
this is an action fight, don't wanna miss out on it

          Vada

VADA had rios pee in a dirty Hotel glass from his room, cuz the VADA rep didn't have the kit with him,

also sent members of rios camp downstairs to grab the kit for him so he could stay with rios..

          Very unprofessional by VADA.....

Both are reasonable demands considering he is a champion @ 140 and Rios has been caught using PED's.

I get why Provodnikov's manager is saying such a thing especially about VADA which they should get (although not like that stopped Rios before nor did failing seem to effect Rios' career in any way).

Still what is out there for Provodnikov that is superior to a Rios fight, so 140, 147 or something in between they should try to get that fight.

That's why they're calling it a tune up fight. Everything your saying about Ruslan can be said about Marquez. He dropped that belt, Provo picked it up. Marquez is the bigger draw so is rios. So why should Marquez or rios drop weight. Like you said marquez gains nothing fighting Alvarado because Provo beat him. Now what does Ruslan gain in beating a guy coming off 2L's. Nothing except exposure. Because rios is better known to the casual fan. That's the whole reason for them wanting this fight. So stop being a b***h ang go up to WW

I don't even know why they bother with sanctioning bodies. Top Rank has its belts and GBP has its belts. Only Top Rank fighters fight for Top Rank belts (regardless of whether they deserve the shot) and only GBP fighters fight for GBP belts. Sanctioning bodies and their rankings don't have a damn thing to do with who gets a title shot.
