  • Comments Thread For: Froch-Groves II: Hearn in Talks With Several Stadiums

Several of Britain's largest sporting arenas are under consideration to stage the rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves that has finally been agreed for May 31.

Eighty-two days after the bitter rivals fought a nine-round thriller that ended with Froch stopping his younger opponent in controversial circumstances, they have agreed to meet for a second time.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn views it as the biggest fight in British history and name-checked several major venues as possibilities to host a showdown that Froch starts as odds-on favourite.

While in terms of boxing merit, it's a huge fight, but is it even bigger than Haye-Chisora popularity wise?

Hat's off to Froch for taking it.... I think he realises as much as he dislikes Groves there really wasn't any other fight financially or as meaningful as the rematch. I hope the fight will be as good as the pre fight build up and the head to heads, I'm sure it will , can't wait, Are you tuned in FLOYD!!!

Twickenham holds 82,000, more than Wembley, but no roof. Wembley doesn't have a roof over the pitch area where the ring would be.

Millennium Stadium (72,500) is probably the best bet in terms of weather but it's in Wales.

The Millennium Stadium is the only venue in the UK with a retractable roof, isn't it?

today i re watched the fight for the first time, i still believe the stoppage was really bad, aweful, but watching it live i had the feeling it was much closer, now i saw it diferent. groves was beating froch really bad, he landed several right hands that were hurting carl. i think groves takes the rematch.

Froch will definitely knock him out this time.
