Roaches fighter win fights they're supposed to win, Garcia's wins fights they are not.
Rios was also a favorite over Alvarado and Donaire was a favorite over Rigo so I guess his fighters win fights theyre suppose to lose and lose fights theyre suppose to win

A typical Mexican. Cries/whines foul when lost to a title or an award.
Can accept defeat like a man. Again, a typical mexican.

Im not sure who had the better year
Roach: Pacquiao got back on track by dominating Rios, Zao was undefeated (against low level opposition, but seems to be steadily improving), Cotto got back on track with a win and Ruslan had a breakout year winning a title and losing the FOY against Bradley (which is really the only negative on his resume this year.)
Garcia: Mikey had a very big year winning two titles in two weight classes, Maidana had a big year including a title win and a big upset, Gradovich won a (paper) title and defended it a few times but he also had Rios go 0-2 and shutout in one of the fights and Nonito was completely undressed in a fight almost getting shutout and then in his comeback against a soft opponent he was losing until he landed some solid shots to knockout Vic.

Their years were similar. Garcia had better victories but he also had bigger downfalls. His guys lost more fights and looked pretty awful in those fights, he also had one of his guys dominated by a Roach fighter.

Neither guy had that spectacular of a year. Honestly and I am not a Floyd fan but I think Floyd Sr. deserved it. Everyone says Floyd trains himself but Floyd had his worst performance since the Castillo fight against Cotto; he was hit more in that fight than his previous 3 fights combined and had his face bloodied. He changed over to Sr and came out looking like he was 10 years younger.
Other trainers with big years were
Angel Garcia: he gave a great gameplan against Lucas but Danny looked extremely average against a past it Zab and he doesn't train anyone else
Abel Sanchez: He had a big year with Golovkin and Mike Perez had his big victory against Mago but he also had a terrible year with Cloud
Pedro Diaz: Kind of an interesting one but he took over training as Rigo stepped up to the big time and he dominated both fights this year
Joel Diaz: Trains Bradley who had a big year and he trains the Magdelano brothers, although one of them lost this year

Neither was a heavy favorite. Alvarado v Rios was damn near 50/50 and so was Rigo v Donaire. These weren't 7 to 1's.

A lot of people mentioning Provodnikov's win over Alvarado, but forget that Roach did NOT work his corner that night and also did not have Roach full time in camp. Roach was busy training Cotto for 10/8 and went to China for Pacquiao. Roach's assistant manned the remainder of the camp and fight week.

for garcia to act like his antics towards roach wont affect things like this is almost mind boggling
