I know Broner aint floyd, but what you fail to understand is that the both roll and counter in a very simlar way, Maidana`s unik style just happens to be very effective against that style, for several reasons.

I already pointed out Maidans relentless attacking, now I know you floyd nutsuckers a completely deluded, but there is no denying that a surthen Castillo was about one **** hair from handling Floyd his first loss.

Well Maidana does everything Castillo did, better

Maidana best weapon is his looping right hand he throws from weird angels, against broner he threw it from above, bingo, the only way to hit solid on floyds head.

I am baffled why you can't see the logic in that
I agree with everything. Excellent post. You know you boxing, friend. You hit on a lot of good points.

Why do so many people think this? This is a huge misconception. Maidana is the polar opposite of those things: fast and skilled.

Does he have an ugly style? Yes.

      But is he effective? Yes.

Cheers, its the use of the jab, combinations and his set up of his power shots. Before Garcia trained him Maidana was a one trick pony looking for that overhand right all night.

Now he will throw a jab to the body, then 2 up top. As Garcia says "if you throw in Combinations instead of one shot, they might block shot one, or two but at least one will get through" Add Maidana's power to that and its bad news for his opponents.

Probably Wins, but would rather Avoid the Attendant BEATING!!!
I found another person who recognizes Maidana's abilities as a fighter at the world class level.

Although this fan appears a bit extreme.

People also forget that Maidana rolls punches too. And he moves his head. There was a moment in the Jesus Soto Karass fight where Chino rolled all of the incoming punches. Was it pretty? No. But was it effective? Yes.

About the "careful" matchmaking of Maidana's

give me a break. This guy has been brought in the opponent so many times and upset the apple cart, this is the about the last guy who people would say was being carefully matched. Nobody bats an eye when unknown fighters like Maidana lose or get robbed and go back to their country never to be seen again. Careful matchmaking lol

if Garcia wants to try WW, he and Maidana can be a good fight
whatever happened to Guerrero? he took his check and went home
hell, anybody at WW is a better fight than for him than Floyd
if he wants money, go for it, but no way Maidana gets shut out
Guerrero is kinda on the shelf at this point. He just unsuccessfully tried to break out of his contract with Golden Boy. Failed. And before the suit, Golden Boy tried to pair him in a fight with Keith Thurman, but Guerrero turned the fight down.

And I'm sure Golden Boy is also pissed he even dared to break out of his contract after giving him the Mayweather fight that he begged them for years for.

That is true, he has improved parts of his defense since the Devon fight. Defense will always be a weakness for him but his great toughness and offence makes it work.

Agreed. The last time Maidana was the "A" side was against Josesito Lopez.
