I think what the Cotto fight does is remind us that Sergio does indeed belong on the list (I've seen people exclude him from their top ten p4p). The win over GGG means a lot because of the perception that Gennady is a killer and will be the favorite. I'd have him at #4 after PAC (I'm hoping PAC wins and gets #3)
If Martinez beats up Cotto and beats up GGG...

P4p #4 at worst strictly on beating GGG who might be overhyped, but is a really good fighter if you ignore the hype. I still wouldn't put him over Floyd or Ward, but two impressive/dominant victories and I don't see why you couldn't put him infront of Rigo at #3.Comment

As a Pacquiao fan I think Pacquiao is still in the top 5 or 6 pound for pound fighters in the world. I thought he was very impressive in his last fight with Marquez before he ran into the bomb. There is a reason Marquez does not want to fight him again even for the most money. Marquez knows Pacquiao is very dangerous and hard to beat. I thought he looked great in the Rios fight and Rios said Pacquiao's speed was unreal. The pro odds makers who set odds for a living think Pacquiao is still damn good because he is favorite to beat Bradley and most pound for pound lists have Bradley in the top 5 pound for pound. I know Pacquiao is not the subject of this thread but so many in this thread are saying he is not even top 10 pound for pound that I thought I would disagree with them.Comment

It depends on who Ward/Manny/Tim fight and the outcome. If Manny beats Timmy and then JMM, he goes back to #2 imo. If Tim beats Manny + JMM, he goes to #2. If ward fights this year (big if) and wins against a reputable opponent, he would be behind Tim/Pac (if they go undefeated) at #4 (possibly #3). If Manny/Tim split, 1 win + 1 loss, Sergio goes to #2 over ward.
Floyd really can't lose his spot unless he loses or puts up a couple of stinkers that are close fights (i.e. if he massively struggle against khan/maidana).Comment

Well it would be very impressive but it all depends on what wins/losses the top guys ahead of him (Floyd/Ward/Rigo/Bradley) would have at the time to properly rank him.Comment

I was going to make a thread similar, but instead asking where serg ranks in history if he beats cotto and GGG....
i don't dare mention the words ATG often. but if he beats cotto/GGG and possibly sturm or something.... idk!! maybe im crazy lol
ok atg seems a bit far. but legend for sure lolComment

imagine NSB going nuts if the ring decided to troll, got upset that may is fighting khan and decides to drop him for the hell of it to #2 after the fight LOLComment
