by that logic mr haye, khan doesn't even have a punchers chance. if khan wins it will be the biggest upset in boxing history...ever.

If the exact quote is : "Khan, More So Than Others, Can Beat Mayweather " then Haye is right.

Khan has better chances of beating Mayweather than I, than the butcher next door, and than many other people, I am sure.

The bottom line though is that Khan has done absolutely nothing to deserve a title fight at 147, let alone fight Mayweather.

Khan vs Broner is a much better match up if you ask me.

as we know, in the ring, anything can happen on any given night. but it usually doesnt. the Tyson/Douglas comparison doesnt hold water. the fact that both Tyson and Mayweather were/will be heavily favored is where the similarities end. in 1990 Tyson was a drug addicted fighter who didnt even want to train let alone fight. the man had more personal problems than lindsey whats-her-name. conversely, Douglas was a talented(albeit sporadic) fighter whos Mom had recently passed away and he came into that fight with singular determination and his best training camp ever behind him. Thats a perfect storm situation. Mayweather wont be out of shape or lacking focus and he wont underestimate Khan. he never does that. Khan will be highly motivated and in great shape but it wont matter to Mayweather. unlike Tyson he doesnt care if you think you can beat him or not. i cant find any advantage to give Khan. His speed wont bother Mayweather after 3 or 4 rds. while he may not be the sturdiest fighter out there, i dont completely buy into Khans rep as a guy who cant take a punch and Mayweather isnt the kind of fighter who can put a guy down with just a jab. that said, if Khan goes all 12 i think he can hold his head up.

Khan still needs to learn how to use his speed so that it's an advantage not a deficiency.

If Khan throws 3 pity-pat punches with speed that is not effective then he is left out to dry in the pocket for a return blast from his opponent. Furthermore, while he is throwing that type of combination, he has no sense of what his fighter will bring back at him and it makes his opponent's shot that much more powerful.

Khan needs to know when to throw effective combos and when to just throw one solid punch at a time and then get out of the pocket. In other words, Khan needs to learn how to throw a punch(s) in a way that the opponent can't counter so easily. Khan has the speed so all he needs is to find out what are the best approaches.

If Khan pulls off the most improbable upset ever I will believe in him

as of now though I am viewing this fight as a joke. I'd love to be surprised but I'm not even going to be optimistic on Khan's chances
