Comments Thread For: Haye: Khan, More So Than Others, Can Beat Mayweather

Former two-division world champion David Haye is giving his countryman, Amir Khan, a good shot to pull off a major upset over WBC 147-pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Khan is the likely opponent for Mayweather on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Haye gives Khan a better shot to beat Mayweather than any other opponent who faced the pound-for-pound king in the past, because of the British boxer's rapid hand and foot speed.

        Again!!!

If Con is soooo FAST of hand & foot, then why isn't\hasn't he dominated every opponent?!?!?!?

Guys want to keep harping on Con's speed and to date, that speed hasn't helped him one bit. In fact, his speed has been neutralized by much slower, less efficient opponents i.e. Garcia, Peterson, Diaz, on & on & on.

This shit is a fantasy and pure imagination. And coming from Haye, makes the comment even more suspect.

I read the last paragraph of this article - "Many fighters in the past have been considered unbeatable. All it takes is for that one man to be overlooked ... "

Then I saw the title of the next article - "Buster Douglas Ko's Mike Tyson."

          Spooky?

C'mon my dude he beat Peterson (if it wasn't for that BS 2point penalty hometown advantage) he beat Diaz at the end of the day....and he busted up Garcia and beating him till that power left hook came....mayweather doesn't have power and khan never been out boxed (I'm not saying he Ganna win tho) but we already seen sluggers try to slug it out with Floyd

                100% correct

Floyd will have issues with Khan early on, Khan usually is in beast mode for the first 1-5 rounds and then something happens to make it a more difficult fight for him, its like he loses concentration and doesn't switch up his attack

Now i dont know what Virgil and Khan have been working on or what the gameplan is

Khan needs to come out fast, pop that jab, work the body, and dont let Floyd settle or figure him out, then just totally switch it up and slow down and get on his bike,

If Khan boxes and stays out of the pocket, he'll win a UD or SD

Khans asset is his fast hands and athleticism, he needs to use his advantages and stay 100% focused

That would be insane if Khan can pull off what Douglas did to Tyson against Floyd. Khan is actually a better fighter than Douglas as well.
