I've seen other fighters get accused of that despite fighting far better opposition.
You have the be """""Slick""""" to be called a cherry picker...

When will Golovkin do what every other top fighter did to get bigger fights, just move up.

HBO should just bring out the checkbook for Golovkin vs Quillin and stop this nonsense. If they can spend 3 million for Ward vs Rodriguez, they could have certainly done the same for Golovkin vs Quillin. Probably wouldn't even require that much. Even less for a Lara fight.
That would require a change in attitude towards GBP, which may yet happen, but is much bigger than GGG. But 3m is a huge step up, all of GGG's fights cost less than 750k combined AFAIK. You're talking retirement wages for his opponents.

Seems like Sergio will answer his call. That's one of the biggest fights available to him, and will legitimize his MW champ status, cause guys like you call him a paper champ.

Well, he is a paper champion. Doesn't mean he's a bad fighter. Only criticism I have of the way he's handled the whole situation is that he said he'd fight anybody from 154-168, now refuses to fight at 168. I can understand wanting to stay at 160 for the time being, but then he shouldn't have talked about fighting anybody at 154-168.

The golovkin hate is getting out of control, cant even enter threads with his name anymore
Chavez Jr has little to no amateur background, his fights against Rubio and Lee were basically him finally stepping it up after padding up his record. He's not this celebrated, overhyped amateur star like Golovkin. Chavez Jr was always hated and insulted as just the son of a legend and is no good.

I don't know if you are implying that GGG should be held in the same standards as Chavez Jr? In the very least, Rubio and Lee were top 10. Lee is no longer top 10 that makes a huge difference. Just cause fighter-A fought a certain top 10 fighter one time, and fighter-B fights the same fighter nearly 2 years ago but the fighter is no longer top 10, doesn't mean fighter-B should get the same credit. Especially in this case when GGG is seen as better than Chavez Jr, and his fans apparently feel Golovkin would even beat the likes of Froch, Kessler, Groves, Bika.

I never called him a paper champ, ever. Actually I always forget that he's a title holder, honestly. But now that you mention it, he actually is a paper champ. Look at who he beat for his title. He beat Milton Nunez...yeah, who? That's what a paper champ is.

He was probably more willing earlier, to gain exposure which he now has in spades. But still, do you know a single offer from a SMW he's passed on? For example if Froch sent an offer, I as a GGG fan would be disappointed if he turned it down to fight the likes of Lee.
