That's what I'm talking about!! I never doubted Martinez for a second! I always thought that if he were to beat Cotto decisively(without being injured of course) that he would look to fight Golovkin. Matinez has never ducked nobody and isn't looking to start now

And Martinez knows his boxing. As good as Golovkin has been he seems to improve with every fight! Golovkin is very disciplined, stays active, has a very efficient way of boxing, doesn't take punishment, and is a very durable fighter. All that mixed with Golovkin's passion for the sport, I too believe we've yet to see the best of Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin!

I think that fight was too much too soon. It was the only time he could have that fight in Argentina so he jumped on it. But he was badly injured in the Chavez fight. Not only was he badly hurt by Chavez but he suffered multiple cuts, a broken left hand and a torn meniscus. All of which were reinjured against Murray due to lack of recovery time. He is getting old and injuries take there toll so I don't know if he'll ever be the same as he was pre-Chavez but I think the year plus off will do him good and he should have a nice bounce back

People in here talking crap about age..the dude had torn ligaments in his knee..he had a minor surgery and came back too soon..everyone commenting about his last fight..go back and look he wasn't using as much movement as he normally does. Had that fight been anywhere else it would've been cancelled and he would've had another operation. He went through with the fight, looked bad and went and had his surgery. Don't count this man out just yet.
