Ok so Khan won the M-Promotions poll but other polls have Maidana ahead. With that said, let's assume that the reason Khan won was because most of his fans in wanted to see the fight. Business wise, would it make more sense to make the Maidana fight based on the other polls since more people voted, meaning more people are interested and possibly buy the PPV? And how does boxnation pay for the fights (assuming most of Khan's fans will watch it here)? Don't they televise even the PPV events on regular TV?
Explain the poll to me:

Maidana gets his shot in Sep
Floyd knows what he is doing, by picking Khan, he has made Maidana in to the boogeyman with certain fans demanding the fight, when Maidana beats Broner in the rematch, his stock will further rise and Floyd will be there to cash in and make a joke out of the slow plodding midget
Genius on Floyd and GBP part
but Khan will beat Floyd so all of that crap will not be executedComment

The Brits have not taken to PPV the way America has. More importantly, there are only 60 million Brits compared to 300mm Americans. Its usually just tertiary revenue.
Khan will help fill seats and indeed brings an international appeal to the fight. But the illusion that he has a substantial PPV following is, well, an illusion.
The poll is just a PR scam.Comment
