Yeah, he just doesn't want to fight Pacquaio at this point. But once upon a time he did want to fight Pacquaio and the fight nearly happened. Negotiations fell apart. And it's never come close to happening again since then.

Was Floyd always against working with bob arum? If so, then this fight wasn't going to happen since the first negotiations.

No-one in boxing history has ever stipulated that another fighter must leave his promoter if he wants to fight him.

Unless I'm mistaken, imposing drug testing demands that HAD to be met was also unprecedented at that time.

So you've basically got two requests from one fighter to another that are unique in boxing history.

And the latest one, that Pac has to leave Arum, is about as bogus as it get.

Why should Pacquiao leave his promoter?

Actually, instead of Margarito he fought Baldomir for 8,000,001 to **** on Arum's 8M offer for Margarito. That's the moment when the Floyd hate went in full ****** mode. He fights the lineal champ for the same amount of money, yet he ducked Margarito. Who BTW was rebuilding from a loss to Santos and would soon lose to an untested Paul williams. You know, the Paul Williams that had to sue Margarito to get in the ring.

Baldomir was a ****ing bum...9 losses and 6 draws when Floyd fought him. Margarito was a beast at that point. Easy way out for same money..some things don't change with Floyd I guess.

I don't think sr. Has any problem with arum but I think jr doesen't want anything to do with arum apparently he says bob arum still owes him money or something so sr. Is going to ride with jr. Regardless as he should but manny ain't leaving arum and truthfully why should he why fix something that ain't broken Floyd going to get the bigger purse anyway so I don't see why that fight can't happen in September anyway...well time will tell.

I wonder what posters would say about Manny if Tim, SHane and JMM refused to join TR to get a Manny fight. Would posters be criticizing Manny and TR for unprecedented requests? Would they be cosigning the refusal with the same reasoning they are using for Manny to not leave TR?
