The Khan fight will be a joke due to Khan not being anywhere near deserving of the fight. I think even Floyd is aware of the public not wanting it, that he didn't announce it yet. For this particular period of time for a fight in May the only real option Floyd has is Maidana.

This seems like a simple answer IMO. It's Cotto if he beats Martinez or its Maidana if he beats Broner again and Cotto loses.

Floyd has always fought guys coming off good wins. Even if we knew the guy didn't have a chance, you couldn't really knock it cause the guy deserved it. Even Guerrero was looked at as a guy who earned the shot. If Khan would have beaten Alexander and got that title instead of ducking him he would be looked at as a much more deserving opponent.

[QUOTE=The Big Dunn;14224382]ok. but since he hasn't announced who he is fighting yet, how do you reach the conclusion regarding the Sept fight?

don't you have to see who he fights in May and what happens in that fight before you have enough info?[/QUOTE

I think a lot people are scratching their heads that Floyd wanted Khan for all these months. The number p4p fighter in the sport is picking Amir Khan. Its makes business sense for Floyd but the public does not care about that we want to see competitive fights. This is the first time Floyd had to really sell the public an opponent. Their should be a demand for the fight not trying to sell us a fight.

June to September is a quick turnaround for Cotto. He likes to take time off between fights and win or lose he will probably get beat up vs. Martinez.

I agree. Floyd should be selling us Danny Garcia even if Danny isnt ready.

By that I mean Danny is really good but I do not think he has hit his prime yet. I would still take Garcia fighting Floyd over Khan and Maidana.
