What's with this myth that Floyd's weakness is southpaws?

I mean, yeah I've seen Floyd have trouble with southpaws, but I feel like he's had just as much troubles with if not more with orthodox fighters as well. The only thing I can say is, Floyd's shoulder roll is ineffective against southpaws. And that's just one element of his defense. Don't tell me people are actually going by the Judah and Corley fight. I'm looking at the Shane Mosley, De la Hoya, Castillo, Miguel Cotto. All whom are orthodox fighters who gave Mayweather some troubles as well. So my question here is...how the **** is Mayweather's weakness southpaws? The only thing I can come up with is Pacquiao is a southpaw, therefore people brought up the two southpaws that hurt Mayweather and used it to support their argument that Pac would win.

Oscar and Cotto are left handed and the only punch they landed really were the left jab so i guess that somehow means he has issues with Southpaws even tho those jabs came from the orthodox stance

mayweather's best defense fighting a southpaw is a sucker punch. without a sucker punch fraud jr is a sitting duck (no pun intended).

            they both suck,,,

while i dont think its a huge weakness,,, it does cause him problems early ie corley, judah, and floyd made the mid fight adjustments to beat them,, it would be much harder vs manny

not saying that manny beats floyd, but his southpaw style with his skill level, speed, and power, and work rate would be the biggest threat to floyd,,, and much more of a threat than anyone else at 147

This^^^. Guerrero moves like he's in slow motion and Ortiz sucks and does not have a straight left. Pac's not just your ordinary southpaw. He throws combinations with power and is very quick on his feet.

Floyds a great defensive fighter but it's not impossible to hit him. He just doesn't get hit with combonations.

I think every fighter looks ok against FMJ early. Even with them having some success, they do not usually win rounds. I think FMJ uses 3-4 rounds to adjust to every opponent. I do not think Manny will be any different. To me, Manny's main problem will be his lack of a strong jab.
