50/50 fight. I'm leaning towards Pea. Tough fight for both men. Extremely tough at lightweight.

But duran looked so good in montreal because SRL decided not to box and stand and trade,, much like bradley did with ruslan,,,,

pernell and floyd would not stand and trade with duran and would box him

I don't think Duran crushes him but he forces the fight and back Whitaker up all night. Duran lands more and harder punches and wins a ud. Whitaker's good chin and defense let him finish the fight on his feet but he loses in my opinion.

At light weight duran deals with whitaker. for one reason and one reason alone, Pea couldt keep Duran off him.

speed is even, power is lopsidedly in Durans favor, strength in Durans favor, skill...yes..in Durans favor. Ring savvy and defense go to Whitaker. Being a southpaw is a plus too.

Duran comes at you for 15 rounds he'd catch Pea and that would be it. i mean look at the fight FW Nelson gave Pea.

whitaker giving Prime Oscar a close fight doesnt mean anything, The Duran before no mas smashes De La Hoya.

Leonard was a 5'10 1/2 full fledged welterweight, one of the best ever. Yeah he traded with Duran. Whitaker couldnt hold SRL's jockstrap at WW.

Nobody is denying Pea has skills, but once Duran lands its over. Pea is a lightweight and not even big in that weight class.

Do you mean the Azumah Nelson fight? What about it? It was a pretty one-sided affair.

it was a one sided pts decision. But Nelson landed some dirty body shots and walked him down, wasnt ever hurt. Put up a good fight. It was a decent fight actually.

My point is he struggled to keep a featherweight off of him. I even look at the Chavez fight as razor close, often hyped as a robbery but very close and competitive.

Pretty much all of his fights were one sided pts decisions. That was his style.

I like Julio Cesar Chavez but that fight wasn't razor close at all. Julio won 2 or 3 rounds at most.

And to be perfectly honest, Duran barely won that fight. But, that's just my unpopular opinion lmfao
