Comments Thread For: Johnson To Seek Advice From Fury on Beating Chisora

American heavyweight Kevin Johnson hopes victory over Dereck Chisora will set-up a rematch with Tyson Fury.

Johnson, who lost on points against Fury in 2012, has been called in as a late replacement to face Chisora at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Chisora is another man chasing a return bout with Fury, having also lost a verdict against him, and is expected to battle his British rival again in the summer.

Punching back at his opponent would be a good start.

Advice on how to beat Chisora? That's simple. Don't fight him in his hometown where the ref will award him a hometown stoppage.

Johnson has very good defense, and he's a big guy too, but he doesn't attack enough. Only Floyd gets wins based on defense. Johnson must throw more.

Johnson has been taking fights on short notice so that can play a factor but he has to throw a right hand after a jab. he is much better then we have seen lately. he has settled into sparring partner mode but this fight actually would put him back on the map. it's going the distance but I am not convinced losing the weight has helped chisora. he isn't gaining any hand speed so the extra weight would allow him to absorb shots better. just my opinion. when he was 250 he was pushing guys around with his movement & body attack. he isn't going to outbox Johnson so he is going to have to play rough. this could be a boring waltz. this could make john ruiz proud. kingpin won't be hitting the canvas but how good of shape he comes in could tell the story. he's on short notice again so I expect a chisora UD. I don't think kingpin has the power to hurt chisora & he won't win on the road throwing just a jab. he does have the skills to box chisora's ass off but will he put them on display? we haven't seen it lately. he did beat leapai quite easily from my understanding & he's wlad's next opponent. what kingpin will show up is the biggest question in my eyes...

Why would Fury give him advice and try to scupper his potential rematch with Chisora?
