If that's their reasoning fine but Showtime will rely on the pay per view from the Uk as the American public are no mugs you guys know you boxing and won't throw your money at just any fight. I don't Think Showtime realise that they will get sales over here but not as much as they think and British fight fans are just as knowledgable and will wait a week to see Khan get Ko'd for free, I think this will backfire on them.

I don't think Showtime receive any of the UK money so that's not likely to be a factor in who they choose. GBP would get a share of the SKY PPV though so may explain why they'd prefer Khan.

That might be true, but i think you are discounting how popular Mayweather is in the UK. Some of our UK posters could probably attest to this. Also he had 5k show up for a training session. The fight will generate buzz and non Khan fans will buy it.

for the people asking why Maidana over Khan its pretty simple Khan hasn't won a big fight since 2011 and when Mayweather lands a straight right counter followed by a left hook its all she wrote. Khan doesn't have a bad chin its ****ing terrible Diaz had him all over the place and he isn't even a puncher. Mayweather while not a devastating punch still has a decent amount of pop if he Koed Hatton who was a lot more durable than Amir Con then I can only imagine how bad its going to get for him
