Im just thinking at the Canelo Mayweather tour there were hundreds of Mexicans and quite a lot of Mayweather fans, I don't see the Mexicans coming out for Khan, Maidana perhaps cause he has that Mexican warrior style that appeals to that market even though hes an Argentine. Most of the Mayweather fans I have spoken to are disgusted at the Khan match the only ones that are up for this are the UK fans and Khans Asian following

this is the first mayweather fight since probably sharmba mitchell where there is no real justification for this fight other than its a tune up. kahn has no title and no string of wins and really has no following in america. even against baldomir and guerrero the ring championship was on the line, against kahn there is nothing on the line at all. absolutely nothing.

generally you dont take tuneups when you've been fighting regularly. That defeats the purpose of a tuneup. Why not just call it the easy fight cherry pick that it is?

Absolutely. Maidana is considered one of their own by Mexicans. If you read the Spanish forums its as if Chino IS Mexican. Maidana has said before in interviews "aguante la Raza", very pro Mexican.
A crappy Kan fight wont make Floyd nearly as much money as fighting Maidana but it sure is the safest.

And so he should. Floyd let the fans choose and they want Khan so that's what Floyd will give them. Khan gives him lots of problems with his speed but Floyd takes this. Top fight.
