    holla back at ya boy
This post got a chuckle out of me.

I posted in a different thread about how he needs to make some symbolic changes to his appearance, to appear more focused. I.E. Enter the ring without any music playing at all. Come in plain attire (maybe all black) to the ring. No brushing of hair. It would be a symbolic gesture that he has matured and is taking the sport serious. Zab Judah did a version of this for one night in the Cory Spinks rematch, but he couldn't hold on to it.

I don't think Broner can do it as it's not all just an act. He actually is a ****y little wannabe rapper who doesn't make smart life or financial decisions.

He is not that athletic, as in not the elusive type.

He is very similar to Andre Berto in body type. Both have a lot of upper body build and have looked up to the wrong boxers for inspiration. Both wanna box and be the defensive counter punchers when their body structure suggest that they would've been better off as buff and aggressive beasts. In Broner's case, probably a beast at a lower weight since he is only a 5'6 footer and his physical strength is almost non-existent at 147.

Berto was a fast guy that hit hard with a good amateur background. Even Broner's biggest fans questioned what his ceiling truly was.
Matty's last loss against a WC:

        112-114; 111-115; 112-114

with one arm and one eye for most of the fight!

Wow! What will he do with two arms and two eyes?

You can't change who you are as a fighter in 6 months or LESS.
Here is what I think will happen in the rematch. There are only two options:

          1) Broner is very gun-shy and overly defensive, and it ends up being a 12 round borefest of Maidana chasing him but not landing on him clean. Broner walks out unscathed but clearly defeated.

          2) Broner really comes to fight and this time it's a early-to-mid-round TKO loss, as there is no way that he will Box perfectly like his hero Floyd. He may even get stopped in 3 rounds as there is no way that he has completely recovered. See what happened to Victor Ortiz? Gets jaw broken in a competitive fight. A year later, gets stopped in 2 rounds by a perceived pillow puncher. It was more psychological than physical.

Broner, who went down twice in the contest, exercised his option for a rematch clause.

A rematch was scheduled for April, but pushed back to a later date. Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer of pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., would rather see Broner take at least tune-ups before a Maidana rematch.

SMH, look at all the Broner fan boys all of sudden realizing that Broner isn't the fighter you all made him out to be. I look on here and see a couple of you who boldly had Broner stopping Maidana, how it will be target practice and all these other crap so now that the dust has settled, we are now suppose to respect your perspective regarding what Broner should have done or will do the next time around. Hundreds of you now playing Monday morning quarterback, umm.. interesting. I suppose while Broner is making all of these adjustments that you all speak of, I guess Maidana and his team won't be doing anything differently. Just SMH. If you know an ounce of boxing, you will know that Broner was going to be exposed in the Maidana fight. I am one of the very few who said it and about the only one who said exactly what is going to trouble Broner in the Maidana fight and one frequent little bitc.h a.ss poster on here, who made every excuse in the book for Broner, after the fight should remember that because I have owned him after that fight and all he could do is resort to name calling and throwing tantrums. I will save you the embarrassment and not call you out. Contrary to what some idiots say, Broner is a welterweight. If you are man enough to pick on a welterweight fighter and pick up a welterweight belt, then you are a welterweight. Manny Pacquaio hardly weighs 140 pounds for his fight, but he competes as a welterweight, skills or not, he is a welterweight. If you subscribe to that bs logic, then you might as well say Broner isn't a lightweight either. Common folks, without even going into all the technicalities, Broner stepped up in competition without having beaten anyone of note and he got exposed, it happens. Contrary to what some might think, I really like the kid and I believe he can make some adjustments in the rematch by boxing but if you know boxing, you can already see that Broner has one of the worst feet in the boxing, his stance is too wide and for someone who will need to utilize movement, that could spell disaster especially with the incoming bombs from Maidana. That is why you need a fight or two to implement changes but in his case, he will be going directly into the line of fire again. I have no doubt he can utilize movement but the question is, for how long? So here it is, Broner wins the first 6 or 7 rounds, but late in the fight, his movement starts to fail him, largely due to Maidana's pressure and Chino starts to tag him, and consistently ramps it up knowing that Broner can now be found. This fight to me will almost resemble the Cotto-Margarito 1. I see a late round knock out this time around for Maidana. If you bet with me in the first fight, you could have been a couple of thousands richer like I am. I am about 98% sure this is how the rematch will play out.

So does this mean Maidana is out of the Mayweather sweepstakes? Is there or is there not an immediate rematch clause between Broner and Maidana? This is so confusing.

Broner should take the loss and move on. He gets hit way too much to fight that type of fighter. Go back to 140, work on your defense and build your rep back up.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH !!!! That hurts. Broner is boring, just like Mayweather who keeps receiving help from the referees and judges. If they start penalizing his huolding and dirty tactics, he will have to engage and...booom! lights out.
