you're overrating Maidana here. Kotelnik retired after getting pasted by Khan, don't get it twisted or say things like Maidana ruined him, Maidana-Kotelnik was very technical and the right guy won. As for Maidana ruining Khan, Khan knocked out Judah after Maidana and was looking pretty fine until the Peterson fight, a much better case could be made that Lamont Peterson or Danny Garcia ruined Khan. Ortiz had his best victory (over Berto) after his fight with Maidana, so the assertion Maidana ruined his career holds no water either.
Marcos Maidana is a good fighter but a far cry from a great one, and this is reflected by his three losses which were all legitimate defeats to better boxers.
