    Cotto or Martinez?

I believe this would be one of the closest fight to pick from in recent history. I believe this fight would be an entertaining fight and it will give the fans a real treat for the summer. I do believe Martinez will take the fight by Split decision, even though he didn't really look good and is coming off an injury. I believe Cotto has been in too many battles and his last showing against an ok fighter is not enough to convince me that he can beat Martinez.

Cotto brings the hype to this fight and is playing the favorite role. Cotto's the a side , fight is in MSG with the home town puerto rican crowd behind him. Martinez has def fought the bigger stronger dudes but does he have enough left in him after surgeries and rehab to keep fighting his style of fight..MArtinez is faster but Cotto has very good timing. If Cotto and Roach come in with the same gameplan as Rodriguez it will play into MArtinez style fi hes healthy enough to execute his style. Both of these guys are not at their best and should it be a close fight i would hate for the ny commission or the ref to ruin this fight. Ex , when they decided to step in and stop Cotto / Margo after Marg shifted the fights momentum to his favor, im not saying Margo would of won but you can def see the boxing politics at work. Im curious to see the fights details gloves, ring size weight ect

Cotto may be the betting favorite but I think he's a really hard one to pick over Martinez style-wise. If we see a Sergio return who is even 80% where he used to be, he'll still be very elusive, powerful southpaw. Martinez has enough power to end his fights early and we know from the past that Miguel Cotto isn't exactly Julio Cesar Chavez (Sr. or Jr.) when it comes to punch resistance.

With that said, there are a ton of questions about this match which make it exciting. How much has Sergio declined / recovered since the Murray fight? How does Miguel handle the additional weight? Who will turn out to be the faster fighter on fight night? Lots of questions hanging in the air on this one, but one thing is certain: both are exciting warriors who will bring everything they have to this one!

I agree that cotto will be the favorite coming in but I just cant see him handle Martinez power and elusiveness. It will be a great fight though.

There are ppl seriously thinking Miguel Cotto

has a chance against Sergio Martinez. I can't see Miguel even winning a rd against Sergio. Too tall, too strong, too quick, too smart!
But for those who thing Cotto has a shot, I feel the same way about Sergio beating GGG.
Am I just as crazy as the Cotto fans???

Good close fight, too tough to pick a winner. Super hyped about this one this is the best big fight scheduled this year imo. Gladly paying for this fight two tough sob's.
