Honestly, I think HBO dodged a giant bullet with Showtime signing Floyd to that deal. I don't know if there was a bidding war. But the way that thing is structured, I don't think Showtime is gonna make one red cent off of this Floyd deal. I'm curious to see what they made off Floyd-Canelo. Because that was the biggest press tour and the most promoted event I think I've ever seen. And that **** wasn't free or cheap.

agree big timeYou know boxing is whack when it has fans choosing sides over networks. Dumbest crap I've ever seen. What aimless, uninformed fanboy trash. A real fan likes whatever fight is on no matter when or where. Im so ashamed of what fans have turned into and its all Manny and Floyd's fault.Comment

Ok, so lets all act like Bob Arum didnt try to play both sides by sending Manny to Showtime to fight Mosley, when HBO didnt let him get his way and ending getting the HBO exec fired. And lets forget Pac signing a contract with Golden Boy and Top Rank at the same time... None of these factors contributed anything over time.Comment

I dont think many people realize that networks DONT LIKE PPV. If it were up to the networks every fight would be a regular broadcast. Promoters and cable companies earn the lion's share of the revenue.Honestly, I think HBO dodged a giant bullet with Showtime signing Floyd to that deal. I don't know if there was a bidding war. Showtime did its thing with Floyd because they wanted to make a splash and shake things up. It was a branding play not a financial one.Comment

To my understand. Fights go to PPV because the networks don't wanna front all the money to satisfy what the fighters want guarantees.I dont think many people realize that networks DONT LIKE PPV.
