Since context doesn't matter anymore, Pacquiao's win over De La Hoya is clearly better than Mayweather's because Pac made Oscar quit. What a great win that in no way can be criticized.
So now a fighter gets discredited for winning and a fighter gets credit for losing?

Mayweather didn't start his career at 147, did not fight the majority of his fights at 147 and did not perform his best (in terms of knockout percentage) at 147. The same applies to Cotto, Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya. So, are any of these guy true welterweights?

Marciano and Mayweather are fighters very comparable!!
Mayweather is the white/italian version of Rocky Marciano, its very clever Mayweather has made himself so hated to get more cash and he makes up genius excuses to avoid the fights (a few years for the opponent to come out of his prime years) then like lion he strikes with fury!
Its clever but in short its a coward move and hence why Floyd is no better than Rocky Marciano.Comment

What the fuc.k is an actual welterweight? How do you define "actual welterweight"? Is it someone who started their career at 147 or someone who spent most of their career at 147, someone who performs their best at 147 or like most people on this post and this board, do you have a special definition that applies only to Floyd Mayweather?

I would not consider a fighter a welterweight when its fairly well documented that keeping the weight on is an issue for them as it has been for Pacquiao.
I would not consider a weight class a fighters natural weight when they require weight training to put on mass to move up in weight.
Floyd is a welterweight. He is apparently unable to make 140lb.
If he was indeed not a welterweight, why wouldn't he fight all of the little guys that he has moved up in weight at a lower weight that he is more comfortable at?Comment
