Comments Thread For: Alex Leapai Vows: Klitschko Ain't Lasting The Distance!

Queensland underdog Alex Leapai has likened himself to Mike Tyson and boldly declared Wladimir Klitschko's long reign at the top of world heavyweight boxing is about to end.

Leapai, the Samoan-born Logan delivery truck driver and ex-con, is preparing for the biggest pay day of his largely-unheralded career after securing a unified world title bout on April 26 in Germany.

The 34-year-old signed the contract in Brisbane on Tuesday morning after two months of negotiations were finalized overnight.

Hell, Leapai wouldn't go the distance with Arreola....I'm confident Chris would spark him out.

the WBO is a garbage belt, botysov was a garbage #1 pretender who got a gift ranking & the WBO jumping him to #1 is an even bigger joke but this is boxing. I love how nuthuggers defend this fight (the 2 or 3 that are left on this site that jerk off too their posters). leapai isn't buster douglas. douglas could actually box some. leapai is a punching bag who is C level at best. he doesn't even beat other journeymen. so when is pulev getting his fight?

This. It's not like Haye, Chagaev, Peter etc. didn't knock Wlad out because they didn't have the power to.

Well, this guy better fight for his life because after he loses to Klitschko he should just retire. I wonder how much money he's getting for fighting Klitschko.
