Comments Thread For: Hearn Admits He Has His Hands Full With Froch-Groves II

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has his hands full with trying to broker a deal for a super middleweight rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves.

Although both were under Hearn's stable, the two boxers never liked each other. The met last November, where Groves dropped Froch hard in the first round and punished the champion for most of the contest. Froch rallied in the ninth round to get Groves in trouble, with a very controversial ending as the referee jumped in way too soon to call the fight.

Just get it signed Eddie....and let the games begin!
Should be a great fight a real 50/50 and one that I would be at ....can't wait!
This is what real matches are not some money monster shouting out two mismatches and saying 'let the people decide who I fight next' and we all know who this is ...
Groves by stoppage early 2/3 rounds with Froch still on his feet and shipping none stop heavy punishment on the ropes (Foster steps into give Froch a five minute rest!)
I hope it's a great fight and it,in more ways than one deserves to happen.

If Groves wants it so bad he should take the 15% which he talked himself into.

If it goes to purse bids, what's the chances that haymaker promotions put in a decent bid? If it goes to bids, and hearn doesn't win, I think froch will vacate. Groves might have a trick up his sleeve.

It'll be annoying if Hearn's "options" are the reason the rematch doesn't happen.

Damn didn't think the purses would go out before 12 of feb or something.

Groves better think long and hard about it now.

I think everybody knows he is worth more than that. I think the split should be about 70-30 TBH.

The fight is now so high profile that 70/30% & no options should be the offer.

Groves is only entitled to 15% and he is the one pushing for this fight.
Froch has other options so he can afford to stand firm and tell Groves it's 15% or forget it, if that what he wants to do.
