Counting on Broner Maidana 2 to bolster the May Khan card is laughable.. And a Freudian slip on how much help you think Khan needs to even be financially viable.
    i doubt it

if he wants to secure the a fight with floyd for Sep, he is better off fighting on the under-card, knocking out Broner and getting the hype train behind him

Think about it, if Maidana v FMJ was forecasted to make more money than Khan, wouldn't GBP/Showtime want to put that bout on instead?
UK ppv's worth less than American ppv's. Khan would have to sell at least 500k to 600k UK ppv's to beat Maidana's 20 percent American edge.

That's assuming the UK PPV is 25 usd and not free on ****ing box nation.

I already stated my opinion that if Floyd picks Khan it's because he prefers the idea of being in the ring with him. Maidana fight has the edge financially or at the very least is comparable. The riskier fight is Maidana. Don't know why these "boxing experts" are so sure Khan can have a revival. It's common sense, if one fighter has been on a streak of impressive wins while the other has looked subpar for 4 (count them) 4 fights, the one that has looked consistently impressive generally is the more dangerous opponent. Irrespective of style considerations.

Style considerations only matter if quality is assumed to be the same.

If the fight was financially better GBP, Showtime and Floyd wud push for Maidana. In his head he knows he can beat both, i dont think he respects either of them.

Theyve crunched up the numbers so Khan must have come out on top, its a money game.

Maidana will get his shot in Sep granted he and Floyd win their next fights

Also Boxnation you pay 20£ to sign up

Frank Warren said when Khan fought Diaz they had a 30% increase in people signing up and thats for a Diaz fight, now for a Floyd fight, they'll double that

This is the type of fight they want to get new subscribers

        • I hope you all know you've been played.

Maidana will beat Broner again and Floyd will fight him in September.

            • The majority of ex boxers, analysts and current boxers i've watched on youtube all want to see Mayweather v Khan.

The television rights to the Asian market will be massive. Also Khan will bring a following of Brits/Asians and ******s to Las Vagas. Including high rollers from Adu Dabi.

Maidana is a proud man. Like I said. I'd be surprised if he dances to that tune.

I have already done some quick calculations a few posts earlier. Assuming Maidana has a 20% edge with Americans, that goes a long way against the UK factor. About 600k UK PPV buys worth.

I think different people are saying different things to Floyd. They don't really KNOW how many UK ppv's Khan will draw. They are viewing the two fights as comparable financially as a result.

But American PPV is the more predictable, and tried and true market for boxing. Maidana with his initial 20 percent edge in America is a safer bet than banking on 600k + UK PPV buys

I mean, that's just Maidana's initial edge in America... They can market the **** out of this with a good 24/7 storyline and raise it even higher.

I don't think we can discount style considerations so easily. Certain boxers will always struggle with certain styles irrespective of recent form (which I don't think is as bad as you're making out).

Incidentally, if Maidana repeats the trick against Broner he'll likely get the shot in September anyhow.
