I think they're referring to GGG being a star in terms of numbers or ratings. And also perhaps his rapid rise over a short period of time. You hear a lot of talk about GGG -some positive some negative. You dont hear much from Ward. Aside from his commentating on HBO.

This is probably another case of Martinez/Cotto. Where Martinez took a step back and said, hey wait a minute now. I'm a name also. Treat me as such. -Granted GGG and Ward arent the names Martinez/Cotto are. But I see it as a matter of respect. Ward likes to completely dictate all of the circumstances of his bouts, much like Cotto. And GGG is probably not going to be cool with that. Abel Sanchez probably feels as though GGG has enough clout to have say in where, when, and how. IMHO

But they were never planning on picking up that date at all, and almost ended up doing so anyway just because of Golovkin. He's at least as big a star as Ward, and maybe bigger.

This fight will happen next year if both keep winning. Or more specifically, Golovkin. I know HBO is hoping Golovkin gets Martinez beforehand.

translation: we want to get paid just as much as you, Ward.

Not a good look while claiming to be avoided.

GGG's trainer needs to shut the F up and let his fighter do the talking. your a trainer, not a promoter or fighter. GGG wants no parts of SOG! he will get schooled if they ever stepped in the ring.

HBO tried but they couldnt. It just wasnt logistically possible. They were going to air an afternoon special, said HBO. But due to the location, they just couldnt make it happen with all of the technical obstacles. I think they are trying to buy the rights to it so they can show it on HBO-after the fact. I watched it online

and GGG will have to take the TEST if he ever fights Ward. He's on that juice!

Golovkin's people are DELUSIONAL. How is Golovkin the "bigger star" when he doesn't make the kind of MONEY Ward makes?

Read between the lines people - they want NO parts of Andre Ward...

Well by that point he would be 30-0 or more. He would be The Ring, WBA (Super), and IBO middleweight champion if he did beat War - depending on the weight of the fight. Plus that would mean he knocked off the #2 P4P. Depending on who is going to get in the ring with him after a win like that, I'd say yes PPV. I'm thinking a Sergio Martinez/GGG for a Diamond Belt. Or am I getting ahead of myself here? lol
