Groves is a fool he was on his way to get knocked out anyway and he was gassing out. There's no way he would have been able to make it to the 12th Groves just don't have world class stamina. He can appeal whatever the heck he wants he's gonna get got again in the rematch. The IBF made a great decision by giving him only 15% of the purse.

      lmao@world class stamina

what a dumb thing to say

Stamina gets built with more fights you have, the Froch fight would have benefited Groves more than anything, he now knows what he needs to fix after fighting a world class boxer and beating him to pillar to post

Also mystic meg you dont know what would have happened, we've seen boxers get dropped and get back up, we've seen boxers land a big shot when they look like they are about to go, we've seen boxers tie other boxers up..fact is we dont know what wud have happened due to the Refs biased for Froch and incompetence...is that so hard to admit?

rematch needs to happen, i hope also groves gets the NC

So in the end Groves will refuse to fight Froch for 15% and probably accuse the IBF of corruption, protecting Froch and all that.

if he wanted to fight Froch so badly he should have taken the original 7 figures offered but instead he got greedy.
i'm sure him amnd hern will come to some sort of understanding

hern has a lot to lose also, he loves the money and froch isnt goin to be around too long, maybe budge on the spilt or take out one of the stipulations

groves was just haggling, he tried to play hern, and hern played him and now both look like dummies.

the thing about groves he was in a ****ty contract before, so he's very wary now, i dont blame him

Groves should go fight Ward. According to him he was beating Froch anyway, so the next step up is Ward.

As pointed out in the article the BBBofC get these kinda cases all the time. The simple fact is such attempts are almost never successful. There's a reason why the referee is closest to the action and a reason why ending a fight is at their discretion.

Essentially one of the only reasons a stoppage can be overturned is if the refereree can be proved to have taken a bribe or been demonstrably corrupt in some way - you think the BBBofC are gonna essentially pillory one of their top refs just because Groves wasn't happy with the decision?

Groves ain't doing himself any favours with this BS - he got his rematch but thinks he deserves a superstar payday to go with it and special treatment off the IBF the BBBofC and possibly the WBA Groves is gonna come down to earth with a thud sometime fairly soon. If he won't take his 15% and walks he's gonna lose every bit of public support he gained from the Froch fight.

I doubt they will reverse the outcome, especially with an ordered rematch on the way.

If Groves had treated the board with a bit more respect maybe he'd stand a chance. However binning the Lonsdale was a ****** move I would imagine he now regrets

The fight may have been stopped early but the outcome was increasingly obvious going into the later rounds. Only Howard Foster could see Groves' eyes enough to judge and I feel it is a bit unfair to criticise such an experienced referee.
